This is a recommendation for TaiAnna Yee.
TaiAnna was a student of mine at Northern Arizona University. The class was an introduction to news writing and reporting. She earned an "A" in the class and was an excellent student.
The students wrote on deadline in nearly every class and TaiAnna was very capable -- she completed stories within those deadlines and they were comprehensive and well written.
TaiAnna was always REALLY prepared for class. Most of the students didn't even bother to do their reading assignments, but many times I noticed that TaiAnna had notecards she had made from the reading. She also took a lot of notes during class and was not afraid to speak up or ask questions.
One thing to note was that TaiAnna also helped her fellow students prepare for current events quizzes. I quizzed the students every week on current events, and TaiAnna would give them a briefing of the week's news. I know this because a group of them (about six students) would come in to my office hours every week before class. They would sit at the round table with the week's newspapers and discuss the current events. But, they would wait for Anna to show up because she knew the most. It was very nice to see such great involvement.
She seems to have a very good basic understanding of journalism. I think she would be a good asset to your team.
